The impact of climate change on species ranges and composition of plant communities in temperate, boreal and alpine regions.

The reservoir was filled in 1992, and its size is approximately 32 square kilometres, and some 80 M cubic metres in capacity.Eleven permanent plots were established in the reserve, with an additional seven in the vicinity. Each covered 400 square meters. Observations were made in the first phase of reservoir construction (in 1978), in order that the scope for long-term structural and species-composition variability might be established under conditions as yet typical for their functioning, where the groundwater and river regimes had still not been disturbed. Such observations have been repeated since then at intervals of 2 years.
